Job Duties:
At-Bay, Inc. in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Sr. Accountant to lead accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, FA & Payroll, and perform accounting analysis according to PCAOB
standards and in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

• Lead the periodic and annual financial close process to drive the close timeline down.
• Lead Accounting Operations including GL, AR, AP, FA & Payroll.
• Manage monthly reconciliations of GL balances including payroll, tax liabilities, and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain all necessary accruals & reserves and ensure adequacy monthly.
• Assess technical accounting issues for appropriate financial treatment.
• Oversee audits to ensure completion with required timelines and develops roadmap for implementing new accounting standards (i.e., ASC 842 and ASC 606), rectify any deficiencies identified in prior audits.
• Oversee worldwide consolidations and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with compilation of information for corporate tax returns & provisions.
• Provide analytics and commentary related to monthly, quarterly, and annual results
• Stay abreast of all regulatory and accounting regulations.
• Support the Company's governance processes which include providing board level reporting
• Work on process optimization and automation efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our monthly close process and of our internal and external reporting requirements.
• Assist the Controller in evaluating operating risks, designing, and recommending internal controls, and monitoring and verifying the effectiveness of the controls
• Coach and mentor staff on the team.
• Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participation in special projects, or ad hoc analyses as assigned.

This position supervises and coordinates the work of two (2) other employees: an Accountant and a Payroll Specialist Accountant.

NOTE: This position has no management authority and has no discretion to hire, terminate, promote, or make any decisions related to budgets or compensation of other employees.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or any related field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience as an Accountant or Accounting
Manager or in any related position(s) involving corporate accounting at an accounting firm, public company, or Private Equity/Venture-backed startup. Employer will accept a foreign
degree.

Position also requires a valid CPA license (any state or country)

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:

1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with US GAAP.
2. Formulating internal controls and policies in compliance with SOX, US GAAP and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) requirements.
3. Demonstrated experience working on systems for gathering, analyzing, and verifying financial data.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of compliance with the latest technical accounting guidance.
5. NetSuite
6. Financial Statement preparation and analysis
7. Auditing processes and procedures, including planning and executing audits, testing internal controls, and preparing audit reports.

No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available.
