About the job:

The highly experienced payroll professional is responsible for managing the payroll processes for At-Bay’s Israeli operations. The role involves ensuring completeness and accuracy in payroll processing, compliance with local payroll regulations, ad hoc analysis to support employee inquiries and analytical, outside-the-box thinking to improve payroll systems and processes.

The Ideal candidate would have:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) processing payroll for medium-sized companies (100+ employees) from beginning to end, strong documentation and internal controls experience that includes detailed documentation, timely submission of drafts for review and approval and organized records management of final reports and salary slips.
  • Experience in process improvement and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Consistently demonstrates attention to detail, ensuring a high level of accuracy. Are highly organized, managing multiple priorities efficiently. They also work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and deliver results.
  • With a critical thinking mindset, they analyze situations and challenges from various perspectives, applying thoughtful solutions. They also possess a process improvement mindset, constantly seeking opportunities to enhance workflows, increase efficiency, and optimize processes. They proactively identify areas for improvement and take the necessary steps to drive meaningful change.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end Israeli payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery and processing new hires, employee terminations, salary updates, monthly salary changes, maternity leave, army reserve calculations, pension and study funds reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations and monthly/annual reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required payroll tax filings and reports.
  • Take responsibility for month-end, quarter-end and year-end payroll reporting, including analysis and reconciliation for the accounting team.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve payroll systems, policies and procedures to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with U.S. Finance, IT and People teams to develop and implement efficient payroll processes and systems to support the Company’s operations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance during audits related to payroll operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational company - Must.
  • Relevant payroll certifications - Must.
  • Deep understanding of Israeli payroll laws and procedures - Must.
  • The ability to process payroll independently - Must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and Google Suite - Must.
  • Strong focus on process improvement, documentation, and internal controls - Must.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a high proficiency in English - Must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Must.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, collaboration, initiative, and a critical thinking mindset - Must.
  • Proficient in Netsuite - Advantage.
