The Role

Capitola is seeking a talented Content Writer having insurance expertise to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in creating compelling and informative content that resonates with our target audience in the insurance industry. Your primary responsibility will be to develop engaging written materials that enhance our online presence, support marketing initiatives, and effectively communicate our brand message. You report into our Director of Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content, including blog posts, website copy, social media content, whitepapers, and thought leadership pieces that showcase our expertise in the insurance wholesale brokerage space.
• Thought Leadership: Lead the creation of industry-leading thought leadership content that positions Capitola as a forward-thinking and knowledgeable player in the market.
• Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to produce content that reflects the latest developments in the insurance wholesale sector.
• Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, internal teams, and external stakeholders to gather insights and information for content creation.
• Whitepapers: Conceptualize, research, and write in-depth white papers that explore complex insurance topics, providing valuable insights and solutions for our clients and partners.
• SEO Optimization: Optimize content for search engines to enhance online visibility and reach a wider audience interested in insurance wholesale brokerage services.
• Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all content meets high standards of quality accuracy and adheres to brand guidelines. Edit and proofread content to maintain consistency and clarity.

Requirements

• Experience: 5-7 years of proven experience as a Content Writer within the insurance industry
• Thought Leadership: Demonstrated ability to create thought leadership pieces and whitepapers that contribute to industry conversations.
• Research Skills: Strong research skills to understand complex insurance topics and present them in a digestible and engaging manner.
• SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
• Innovation: An innovative mindset with the ability to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to content creation.
