The Role

We are seeking an Account Manager to join us in reshaping the future of insurance distribution. You will be a key player in our growth journey, responsible for managing and expanding our portfolio of clients as well as working closely with our internal production team to ensure a seamless and efficient experience. If you're passionate about leveraging technology to streamline insurance processes, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, this role is tailor-made for you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their unique needs and business goals
  • Serve as the main point of contact between clients and underwriters to find solutions that satisfy both parties (appropriate coverage by assessing risks, negotiating policy terms, managing ongoing relationships)
  • Policy Analysis and Placement: Conduct thorough analysis of client risk profiles to recommend appropriate coverage solutions
  • Portfolio Growth: Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the existing client base. Actively participate in business development efforts to acquire new commercial clients and contribute to Capitola’s hyper-growth

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge in at least one (ideally 2) of the coverage lines: D&O, E&O and Cyber
  • 5-8 years of experience within a wholesale brokerage
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to thrive in a high-energy startup environment
  • Passionate about a great customer experience and redefining insurance using technology
