About the Role
We’re hiring a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our growing People team in New York. This role will report to our Head of Talent Acquisition (NY) and will be the first recruiter based in the US, playing a critical role in supporting Empathy’s next phase of growth.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role with increasing scope. You’ll own full-cycle recruiting for US roles today, partner closely with hiring managers, and help lay the groundwork for a scalable recruiting function. Over time, this role will help inform process, structure, and hiring approaches as the team grows.
In this role you will
- Own full-cycle recruiting for US-based roles, from intake through offer, partnering closely with hiring managers to understand role needs, team context, and hiring priorities.
- Execute thoughtful sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing strategies while building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines.
- Work closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition to implement and refine recruiting processes, tools, and interview structures, bringing consistency and rigor to hiring decisions.
- Partner with People Operations to ensure a smooth, high-quality candidate experience, including interview coordination and clear, timely communication.
- Use data and insights to track progress, identify risks, and continuously improve hiring workflows.
- Over time, support the scaling of the US recruiting function by contributing to process documentation, best practices, and onboarding of additional recruiters as the team grows.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting or as a Talent Acquisition Partner, ideally in tech or high-growth environments
- Strong execution skills with the ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously
- Experience partnering with hiring managers and operating with sound judgment and prioritization
- Familiarity with sourcing tools and ATS platforms
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable in follow-through
- Clear, empathetic communicator who builds trust with candidates and internal partners
- Flexibility to work in a Start-Up fast-paced environment, accommodating global time zones when needed.
- Passion for people and a commitment to creating a positive candidate and employee experience.
- Experience working with a global team is preferred
The salary for this position ranges between $120,000 - $140,000. This is decided based on many factors, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, we are proud to offer stock options in the company and a competitive benefits package.
