What you will work on

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Junior IT Administrator (m/f/d) to join our small, agile IT team in Munich. As a Level 1 IT Support Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for our employees, providing essential technical assistance and ensuring our team can work efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a modern, cloud-first environment and make a real impact on our daily operations.

How you will leave your footprint

  • Provide First-Level Support: Act as the go-to person for all IT-related queries and issues, delivering friendly and effective technical support to all Fernride employees.
  • Manage Support Tickets: Efficiently handle, prioritize, and resolve incoming support requests using our Atlassian (Jira) ticket system.
  • Administer Core Systems: Assist with the administration of our primary tools, including user management and support for Google Workspace, Atlassian, Jumpcloud IdP & MDM, and more
  • Support Diverse Operating Systems: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot employee hardware and software across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the IT side of employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth and secure process.
  • Maintain Cloud Services: Support our suite of cloud-based tools and services, helping to ensure they are running smoothly for all users.
  • Create Documentation: Help build and maintain our internal IT knowledge base with clear and helpful documentation.

What you will bring to the team

  • First experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting macOS, Windows, or Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (G Suite) administration is a strong plus.
  • Experience using a ticketing system, preferably Atlassian Jira, is an advantage.
  • You are a natural problem-solver who enjoys tackling technical challenges and finding solutions.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Fluency in English is required.
  • A proactive, team-oriented, and customer-focused mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow within the IT field.
