The Role

Due to significant growth, Flow is seeking a Senior Vice President, Senior Broker for Professional or Management lines who will report directly to our President of Brokerage. You will be at the forefront of our digital transformation by reshaping the future of what it means to be a specialty wholesale broker. From a client segment perspective, Flow is targeting the middle market space, with a focus on specialty lines / other hard-to-place risks. This leader will need to bring in field-level relationships that can be activated immediately to produce sales.

If you're passionate about leveraging technology to deliver deep brokerage expertise, streamline insurance processes, building strong client relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, this role is tailor-made for you. This role can be done remotely, with the expectation to travel to clients as well as visit the company’s headquarters in CA a few times per year.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role in relationship building and revenue generation through new business production
  • Build relationships with retail clients and maintain partnerships with insurance carriers
  • Negotiate and broker deals in the best interest of our clients
  • Hiring, coaching, training and retaining a high-performance production team
  • Collaborate with our development / engineering team to continue enhancing our state of the art technology platform.

Requirements:

  • Must have key knowledge in Professional Liability / Management Liability / Cyber products, distribution and carrier’s underwriting appetite. (Bonus: Having Healthcare and/or Financial Institutions expertise!)
  • 5-8 years of producing new business within a wholesale brokerage
  • A strong reputation and a compelling history of collaboration throughout the distribution channel, coupled with the ability to build robust market relationships
  • Passionate about a great client experience and redefining insurance using technology
  • Successfully able to work in high-growth and dynamic start-up environment
  • Familiarity with and relationships with domestic and international insurance markets
  • Great team player and superb interpersonal skills
  • This position entails local and national travel, approximately 50-70% of the time, to meet with clients and carriers in order to foster and cultivate strong relationships.
