We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET); our office is in sunny Brighton and we try to get into the office once or twice a week, however, we understand that lives need a little flexibility so this might not always be expected. You’ll be working on re-inventing insurance in exciting markets across multiple territories including the UK, USA and The Netherlands.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) you will have a strong focus on testing and your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and features at INSHUR - you will enhance our development and deployment pipelines, implement automation strategies, and advocate for best practices such as shift-left and shift-right testing. Additionally, you will provide guidance and leadership to the QA team, contributing to their overall success.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Champion the improvement of our development and deployment pipelines to enhance product quality.
  • Drive the automation efforts by creating and maintaining automation frameworks using multiple modern languages such as Java and JavaScript.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of testing methodologies for web applications, RESTful and GraphQL API services.
  • Possess extensive experience with TDD/BDD and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Showcase advanced proficiency in Typescript or Java.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, NodeJS, ReactJS, Spring, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Adhere to and promote good software development practices, including Repository Management, Branching Strategies, and Clean Code principles.
  • Familiarity with modern languages, such as Go, Scala, Clojure, etc., is a plus.
