What you will be doing
In this role you will directly report to the VP Finance. As the Finance Manager you will:
- Overseeing the day-to-day finance functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax reporting
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure robust financial management and compliance across all operations
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with international financial standards
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business growth and expansion across markets we’re operating in
- Ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements in the jurisdictions where we operate
- Hire, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
What you'll need
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a proven track record of leading finance teams, ideally in a high-growth start-up or scale-up environment.
- Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and experience with financial compliance and controls.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with a passion for innovation and a keen interest in the insurtech or fintech space.
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages (French) are a plus.
