About Insify
We are a high-growth scale-up backed by €43M in total funding from world-class investors like Accel, Munich Re Ventures, and Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg. While we started our journey five years ago in the Netherlands, we have since expanded into France and Germany, and we’re just getting started. Our mission is to dominate the European market and become a global leader in AI-powered SME insurance.
We aren't just building a company; we’re leading a revolution. Our culture is intense, high-stakes, and mission-driven. We hire smart, ambitious "owners" who possess a relentless drive to win. This is an environment for those who thrive on challenges, value intellectual honesty, and share our mindset of becoming a global category leader.
Our founding team consists of seasoned entrepreneurs who have previously built iconic businesses like HelloFresh, Bloomon, and SumUp. We combine that deep fintech and e-commerce expertise with cutting-edge AI to stay ahead of the curve.
We're looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst who will work closely with Product, Growth, and Insurance teams to understand how customers experience our products and turn that understanding into decisions that shape our roadmap.
We're looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst who will work closely with Product, Growth, and Insurance teams to understand how customers experience our products and turn that understanding into decisions that shape our roadmap.
What you'll be up to (some examples):
- Define what success looks like for a product or feature, and set the KPIs that measure it — before anyone hands you a spec.
- Design and run A/B tests and experiments, and draw the right conclusions from them, including when results are ambiguous.
- Analyze how users move through our products — conversion, drop-off, retention — and turn that into concrete recommendations for product and growth teams.
- Investigate why performance is changing across our expanding European markets, and help decide where and how we invest next.
- Answer open-ended business questions by exploring the data yourself, not by requesting a pre-defined metrics list.
- Partner directly with product managers, marketing/growth, and occasionally leadership to translate analysis into decisions.
- Own outcomes within your scope — from problem definition to a recommendation that gets acted on
- Operate in ambiguity and make decisions without perfect information.
- Spot inefficiencies or blind spots in how we measure things, and fix them without being asked.
This role is a strong fit if you:
- Have excellent SQL skills: you can calculate any metric in a readable and efficient way.
- Have real, hands-on experience designing or running A/B tests and interpreting the results — this is a must, not a nice-to-have.
- Have done cohort, funnel, or conversion analysis to understand user behavior, not just reported on it.
- Have a track record of defining metrics or KPIs yourself, rather than being told what to measure.
- Have a commercial mindset: you can translate an analysis into a recommendation a non-technical stakeholder can act on.
- Take ownership naturally: you don't wait for perfect instructions and thrive in the "grey area."
- Can turn messy, ambiguous problems into a clear plan without needing a defined scope handed to you.
- Are comfortable with exposure to modern data tooling (Databricks, dbt, SQL-based transformation)
This role is not for you if:
- You need a list of metrics from stakeholders to know what to measure or investigate.
- You'd rather only build and maintain dashboards than dig into the data yourself and drive decisions from it
- You are looking for a strict 40-hour work week.
- You need fully defined scopes and stable priorities to perform well.
- You prefer staying high-level, and you don't want to get hands-on with the data itself, from digging into raw numbers to helping shape how it flows through our pipeline
- You expect long ramp-up periods before taking ownership.
We offer:
- Competitive compensation that reflects responsibility and impact.
- Trust and autonomy: you’ll have real ownership and room to make decisions Space to grow and shape your role as Insify evolves.
- A steep learning curve, with support from experienced teammates.
- The opportunity to share in what we’re building, with equity for eligible roles once there’s mutual conviction on fit and impact.
- A welcoming, central Amsterdam HQ where we work closely together: shared lunches, dogs in the office, whiteboards, and fun end-of-week drinks.
- An international, ambitious team that enjoys building meaningful things together.
