As a Security Engineer in NEXT Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our product security posture, encompassing our cloud infrastructure and application layers. Your responsibilities will ensure our systems are robust, resilient, and secure against evolving threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage cutting-edge security tools, enhancing the security posture of our public cloud services. You will ensure our security solutions are fully integrated and optimized across our platform.
  • Collaborate across various security domains, including product, workforce, operations, and compliance, to execute our security roadmap.
  • Maintain a proactive stance in operational security management. You will be pivotal in detecting and responding to critical issues that impact the delivery of our security services.
  • Conduct thorough technical evaluations to identify and address coverage gaps in our existing security capabilities. This involves a continuous improvement mindset to adapt to evolving security landscapes.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to develop and deploy security solutions that align with business goals and enhance our operational efficiency.
  • Manage the deployment of security infrastructure and service maintenance, implement change controls, and ensure system resilience and reliability.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our product architecture and usage patterns. This knowledge will empower you to develop solutions that provide the most significant value and impact to the business.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering
  • Proven experience working in a cloud-native or hybrid environment.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud infrastructure security and application security concepts.
  • Expertise in container technologies and orchestration tools, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
