Backed by the biggest names in insurance and tech, we're experiencing exponential growth and are seeking an enterprising and enthusiastic Insurance Product Manager to join our dynamic team.

We're inviting an accomplished and forward-thinking Insurance Product Manager to join our Workers Compensation team. This is a highly visible and cross-functional position with the primary goal of delivering best-in-class products to small businesses in multiple verticals. We believe that the insurance products available on the market today do not fit the needs of small businesses and we are committed to leading the charge in rethinking small business insurance as we know it. What You’ll Do:

  • Become a go-to expert for the data analysis of our workers compensation product, overseeing the product’s analytics in all verticals and using that data to identify ways to improve growth and profitability
  • Conduct industry research and competitive benchmarking to provide insights on our WC positioning and success
  • Share responsibility for the growth and profitability of our insurance product line by providing analytics that aid in determining and rolling out to new geographies and customer segments
  • Partner closely with multiple teams at Next including primarily our Sales Distribution Teams and also Technical Product, Engineering, Data Science, Claims, Compliance, Customer Operations, and Legal
  • Be the ambassador of the line of business to our distribution internal stakeholders as well as external partners (e.g. Reinsurers, Agents, Partners, etc.)

What We Need:

  • 5+ years of Workers Compensation insurance experience in product management, underwriting, or actuarial.
  • Experience in the SMB space
  • Experience in working with Insurance Analytics teams to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend strategies to optimize growth and profitability
  • Proven experience in using data driven methods in decision making and strong analysis skills
  • Customer obsessed, passionate about making great products that serve and empower small business owners
  • Highly organized, able to handle multiple projects at once, and make progress on all fronts
  • Able to work independently and comfortable with ambiguity
  • BA/BS degree from a top university preferred but not required

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the location(s) listed. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. NEXT employees are eligible to participate in our equity incentive program and will also receive our benefits package, consisting of our partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision/dental options, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), flexible paid time off, parental leave and more.

US annual base salary range for this full-time position:
$127,000$171,000 USD
