YOUR JOB
This role is within the Corporate Actuarial Life team, a small team of aspiring actuaries. You will report to the Head of Life Valuations.
- Deliver insightful analysis of valuation data to support strategic decision-making
- Drive quarterly reserving processes, including prospective reserve calculations, IBNR estimation, and proactive monitoring of claims experience
- Support key financial reporting frameworks (IFRS 17, IFRS 9, Solvency II, and SAM), ensuring accurate and timely delivery to stakeholders
- Produce and analyse business performance metrics, including OVAC and Value of New Business (VNB)
- Contribute to model enhancements and assumption updates, supporting the continuous improvement of actuarial frameworks
- Guide and mentor junior or less-experienced actuarial team members, supporting capability development within the team
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or Business Science
- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary
- Around three years of relevant work experience
- Intermediate knowledge of reserving
- Understanding of life actuarial modelling
- Exposure to life insurance products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively
- Structured and creative in thought and action, with openness to new ideas and solutions
- Experience demonstrating positive professional behaviours within a team environment, with strong collaboration skills
- A team-oriented mindset with an interest in developing, maintaining, and sharing expertise
