Your central role

  • Ensure the adequacy of models, methods and assumptions used for the valuation of insurance liabilities, as well as the quality and appropriateness of the underlying data
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual Actuarial Function Report, in particular by supporting the Actuarial Function in forming its opinions on the adequacy of technical provisions and the reliability and appropiateness of the valuation of insurance liabilities, the underwirting and acceptance policy, and the adequacy of reinsurance arrangements
  • Contribute to the preparation of the ORSA, RSR and SFCR and monitor recommendations issued by the Actuarial Function
  • Perform reviews of valuation models, validation processes, reinsurance arrangements, underwriting and acceptance policy, as well as actuarial governance
  • Take on special tasks and ad‑hoc requests at Group level and support the model change process (IFRS 17 and Solvency II)

Your profile

  • University degree in mathematics, economics, business administration with a focus on finance, or a comparable qualification
  • Ideally, fully qualified actuary (or equivalent actuarial training), combined with solid knowledge of valuation models and the activities of an Actuarial Function in primary insurance
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS 17 and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the insurance industry (e.g. risk management, actuarial, statistics or ALM)
  • Strong analytical skills and an independent, structured way of working, combined with a high level of personal commitment
  • Convincing communicator and team player with the ability to provide professional guidance to local entities, and with business‑fluent German language skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally (maximum twice a year, for around three days each time)
