Digital Product Owner
We are currently looking for a Digital Product Owner to be based in Madrid on a full-time basis, reporting into the Head of Operations
The Digital Product Owner will play a key role in the oversight, management, operation, evolution and support of the GSI4 digital products.
To establish, manage and support the development, implementation, embedding and continuous improvement of effective digital underwriting products with consistency across GSI4 ensuring compliance with Munich Re, applicable European and local regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for end-to-end integrity of business capabilities using subject matter expertise and experience to ensure the digital products portfolio is designed and developed to meet our business objectives/strategy.
- Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of a portfolio of digital products including assisting with planning, developing, testing, maintaining and configuring in accordance with the Business Owner role defined by the Munich Re methodology MR Essentials for developing and maintaining technology products.
- Owner of the business cases for the assigned product portfolio balancing investments with economical gain
- Work with the Change/Transformation project leads, business and technology architects as a point of contact for any projects that impact the digital products.
- Work with IT Product Managers and architects to drive alignment, assessment and prioritisation of identified demands for each digital product.
- Responsibility for sign off change requests, planning and executing product releases enhancements and upgrades.
- Will be the point of contact for the digital products for regulatory and IT security requirements (e.g. IT Compliance, Business Product Owner role, Third-Party Vendor Management and Risk Management, Operational Resilience)
Knowledge and Skills
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience of managing underwriting applications both strategically and operationally.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish and English both verbally and in writing
- Solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle specifically as it relates to the Agile methodology
- Preference also for a candidate with an understanding of European regulatory standards for insurance systems
- Experience designing solutions for policy administration, agent-facing portals, , risk analysis and pricing, underwriting file capabilities is preferred.
- Experience with commercial-off-the-shelf or SaaS policy administration systems, ,), document production or rating engine software is prequired
- Strong experience in translating a business objective and strategy into defined services, operating model, product vision and roadmap and then oversee execution on the required roadmap.
- Proven experience achieving results in a multifunctional and inclusive international environment with of culture of be present, be bold and be curious.
