Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Sr. Project Manager & Solution Engineer to join our team. This hybrid role requires someone who can be both tactical and strategic, managing projects from inception to completion while also developing and implementing strategies and processes to enhance our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the EV charging industry.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for EV charging installations, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Collaborate with internal and external design and engineering teams to review site plans, and EV charging construction drawings to ensure they meet all customer/project specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Oversee site assessments, project design and documentation, permitting processes, and installation logistics.
  • As needed educate and advocate with government and permitting entities to ensure Orange solutions meet code requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with utility companies to submit applications for utility incentives, if needed
  • Work closely with the customer success team to ensure smooth deployments and successful product implementations.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues..

Solution Engineering:

  • Work with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Review all invitations to bid from builders
  • Assist customers with the deployment and integration of EV charging solutions, ensuring a smooth and successful implementation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the sales cycle, addressing customer queries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to relay customer feedback and contribute to product enhancements.

Strategic Development:

  • Develop and refine processes and strategies to improve project efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Create and implement best practices for project management and solution engineering.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to ensure Orange Charger remains competitive.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities for growth such as ensuring code requirements allow Outlets, building incentive programs, and building a trusted installer network

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience EV charging project management, utility coordination, site design, and construction
  • Electrical experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support project and customer needs.
