Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate production operations; oversee creation of and review production schedules; coordinate closely with the Chief Operating Officer on all aspects of the process: demand, scheduling/forecasting, product quality, supplies, processes, equipment/machinery, staffing etc.
Collaborate closely with Chief Engineer to create and maintain products
Oversee purchasing with Supply Chain Manager
Manage and work through all concerns and issues with vendors, suppliers, customers to satisfactory resolution
Supports costing and pricing initiatives
Establish and direct operations policies and procedures
Oversight of Facilities Safety Program
Lead short and long term facilities planning
Coordinate sub-lessors with tenant management company
Establish quality improvements and zero-defect strategies
Lead the organization in the development and implementation of next-generation, long-range operating philosophies, and business strategies.
Develop, implement, and sustain success metrics, incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements
Establish and embolden a climate encouraging open communications of information, issues, and opinions
Create an environment that inspires and motivates employees in achieving business goals and objectives, and for continuous improvement
Develop courses of action by gathering data from multiple, often disparate, qualitative and quantitative sources and synthesizing it into meaningful reports and presentations
Leverage broad and deep manufacturing experience and matrixed team to identify and resolve manufacturing problems before they affect delivery dates or quality
Analyze market and delivery pathways in order to assess and report on present and future material availability
Resolve component availability issues and supplier issues while carefully balancing profitability
Required Qualifications
US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or a related field of study
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing is preferred
Experience with MRP and ERP systems implementation
Knowledge of production/manufacturing principles, techniques, and warehousing best practices
Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
Proven long-term and strategic perspective that extends beyond the immediate initiatives; visualizes and articulates a clear direction
Demonstrated passion for ideation, intellectual curiosity, and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose
Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decisions in ambiguity and own those decisions
Nice to Haves
Experienced in quality management including ISO 9001 and AS 9100 experience
Program management experience
Sub-contract management
Lean Six-Sigma training (Green/Black Belt certification)
Production Planner experience
The estimated salary range for this position is $160,000-185,000
