Main Responsibilities
- Design and build an intelligent risk assessment and control event-driven system
- Apply development and testing best practices and CI/CD methodologies across the SDLC: containerized deployment, K8S, automation, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems
- Advocate engineering best practices
Essential Skills & Experience
- 4+ years’ experience coding in Python (preferably in a large-scale / corporate environment)
- 2+ years’ experience writing scalable backend services in microservices / SOA / functional architecture
- Experience developing event-driven / eventually consistent systems
- Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
- Passionate, innovative, and thorough: research, invent and implement!
- Good verbal and written communication skills (fluent English)
- BSc/MSc in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
Nice to have
- Understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
- Knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Storm, Apache Flink or similar
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms
- Experience with using Redis as an application DB
- Familiarity with security and compliance laws and standards such as: PCI-DSS, HIPAA or SOC2, ISO 27001 and GDPR
