Position Description:
We are looking for an experienced Account Executive with expertise in software sales and a strong background in the maritime industry to drive business development across the Asia market. Based in Singapore, this role focuses on acquiring new clients, managing strategic relationships, and expanding ShipIn.ai’s presence throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have a consultative sales approach and a proven track record of meeting quotas, with a deep understanding of the unique needs of maritime clients in Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asia Market Development: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the Asia maritime industry. Develop and execute a region-specific sales plan that aligns with ShipIn Systems’ global objectives, focusing on high-potential leads and strategic accounts.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers in the maritime sector, understanding their unique challenges in safety, compliance, and operational efficiency, and positioning company’s solutions to address these needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations and consultations, showcasing FleetVision’s capabilities in real-time anomaly detection, incident prevention, and safety benchmarking, aligning solutions with client safety and compliance objectives.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas, managing and maintaining a healthy pipeline within the CRM. Provide accurate forecasting and keep detailed records of all interactions to support strategic regional planning.
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment on client needs, gather feedback from the Asia market, and contribute insights for ongoing product development and refinement.
- Stay informed on trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities within the Asia maritime industry to identify new opportunities and ensure ShipIn.ai’s offerings remain competitive and relevant.
Qualifications / Experiences:
- 10+ years in B2B sales with a successful track record in software and maritime industries, particularly in the Asia market.
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with the ability to drive significant revenue growth and develop high-value client relationships.
- Strong experience in full-cycle sales, with a consultative approach to selling complex software solutions, ideally with a background in AI or digital transformation technologies.
- In-depth understanding of the maritime sector in Asia, including safety and compliance challenges and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional communication skills tailored to engage diverse clients across the Asia region, with strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management, client tracking, and supporting accurate sales forecasts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language skills relevant to the Asia market (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa) are a plus.
- Experience in SaaS sales and a solid understanding of AI and computer vision applications in industrial settings.
