About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, experienced Finance Controller to join ShipIn's finance team and take full ownership of our accounting operations, financial reporting, and control environment.
This is a critical role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment and is excited to help build a strong finance infrastructure while supporting the company's continued global growth. You'll be deeply involved in everything from day-to-day accounting and monthly close to consolidations, process improvement, and scaling our systems and controls as we grow.
What You'll Do
- Own and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, and be accountable for accurate, timely reporting across the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Manage multicurrency consolidations and intercompany accounting across our global entities
- Oversee accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, and support revenue recognition processes
- Review and guide journal entries and accounting treatments
- Work closely with external accounting firms and auditors
- Develop and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other applicable regulations
- Support payroll, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and accounting KPIs
- Help scale finance processes, automation, and operational infrastructure as we grow
What We're Looking For
- CPA qualification with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Audit background, preferably Big 4
- Strong hands-on experience managing monthly close processes
- Experience working in SaaS or technology companies
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and an analytical mindset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Experience working with global entities and multicurrency environments
- Knowledge of US and international tax processes and compliance
- Experience leveraging AI tools and automation solutions within finance and accounting workflows
