About ShipIn:

ShipIn Systems is redefining how the maritime industry understands, manages, and reduces operational risk. Our AI-powered visual fleet intelligence platform connects onboard video with shore-based teams, turning everyday vessel operations into actionable insight that helps prevent incidents before they escalate.

We work with many of the world’s leading shipowners and operators to bring greater visibility, accountability, and learning into daily operations at sea. The result is safer crews, stronger performance, and smarter decision-making across global fleets.

If you’re drawn to complex, real-world industries and want to build technology that changes behavior and improves safety at scale, join us.

The Role:

We are seeking an organized, practical, and deeply committed Operations Coordinator based in Cyprus to join our operations team and support our vessel deployments.

Working primarily remotely, this role requires an individual with an exceptional work ethic, a strong sense of personal accountability, and the ability to self-manage effectively while collaborating closely with the broader team. You will serve as a key operational link between ship managers, vessel crews, and our internal teams.

You must possess a strong perception of operational risks, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to execute tasks reliably to keep vessel deployments moving forward on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deployment Support: Assist with the end-to-end coordination of deploying ShipIn systems onboard commercial vessels, tracking progress against planned milestones.
  • Logistics Coordination: Gather critical delivery data from ship managers and port agents (such as vessel ETAs, port agent details, and customs requirements). Coordinate efficiently with our internal logistics team to ensure timelines align with tight vessel schedules.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a daily point of contact for technical superintendents and vessel masters, ensuring all parties remain aligned on deployment schedules.
  • Deployment Readiness: Coordinate the collection of pre-installation documentation, track project approvals, and ensure all relevant shipboard documentation is prepared and delivered.
  • Proactive Risk Tracking: Use sharp operational perception to identify potential bottlenecks, customs issues, or vessel schedule changes early, working with the team to resolve them or flag them to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Maritime Experience: 2–3+ years of experience in ship management, marine operations, technical ship services, or maritime logistics coordination.
  • Strong Work Ethic & Self-Management: Highly disciplined and reliable. Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Accountable & Committed: A professional who takes complete ownership of their assigned tasks, follows through on execution, and ensures work is completed thoroughly.
  • Sharp Perception & Detail-Oriented: Ability to read between the lines when dealing with complex port schedules, anticipate issues before they cause delays, and maintain accurate project records.
  • Clear Communication: Fluent written and spoken English. You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with technical superintendents onshore and vessel crews at sea.

Advantages:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with CCTV systems and video-based solutions.
