Position Description
We are looking for a proactive and highly organized professional to support the Director of Growth, APAC, across account management, customer coordination, and deployment activities.
This role will focus on directly managing a portfolio of small and mid-market maritime customers, building strong day-to-day relationships, supporting renewals and expansion opportunities, and ensuring deployments and customer requests move forward smoothly. You will also support key and expansion accounts with customer coordination, follow-ups, and administrative tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management - Small & Mid-Market
- Own a portfolio of small and mid-market accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring accurate, up-to-date records in HubSpot.
- Maintain account plans, stakeholder maps, meeting briefs, account health updates, and upsell opportunities.
- Support renewals and expansion conversations, customer meetings, and executive engagements.
- Coordinate customer meetings, travel, and multi-stakeholder sessions.
- Draft customer communications, follow up on open items, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
- Track account activity, deployments, vessel/fleet status, and service requests using HubSpot, Jira, and internal trackers.
- Coordinate with Sales Ops and Finance on invoicing, freight charges, and overdue payments.
- Maintain and share relevant competitive intelligence and customer insights.
Product & Customer Feedback
- Collect and communicate customer feedback, feature requests, and deployment needs to Product and relevant internal teams.
- Track open product requests and provide customers with updates.
- Identify recurring customer pain points and deployment blockers and ensure they are raised internally.
- Support customer feedback sessions and surveys when relevant.
Deployment & Customer Onboarding
- Track the full deployment process from kit dispatch through installation, commissioning, FOV adjustments, and AI go-live, proactively flagging delays or blockers.
- Ensure required documentation, consignee details, installer confirmations, and logistics are in place.
- Coordinate with Ops, IT, CS, and customers to keep deployments on schedule.
- Run regular internal and customer deployment meetings and provide clear status updates.
- Follow up on additional hardware pricing and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate camera configuration, commissioning, and FOV reviews to ensure the system meets customer requirements.
- Coordinate platform walkthroughs and track crew and shore team onboarding and engagement.
- Maintain the data required for Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) and customer success reviews.
Marketing & Events
- Coordinate with Marketing to ensure relevant customer and regional collateral is available.
- Support customer events and forums, including invitations, follow-ups, and attendance coordination.
Support for Key & Expansion Accounts
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Growth on key and expansion accounts as needed.
- Support RFI/RFP submissions and other account-related requirements.
- Act as a backup contact for assigned accounts when the Director of Growth is unavailable.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in account management or customer-facing roles.
- Prior maritime industry experience required - e.g. shipping, ship management, chartering, marine operations, maritime technology/SaaS, or a related seafaring or technical background.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and professional customer-facing materials.
- Experience with CRM and ticketing systems such as HubSpot and Jira, or the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Sales Ops, Marketing, Operations, IT, and CS.
- Comfortable working across time zones and with international stakeholders.
- Mandarin speaking is preferred given the APAC account base; other regional languages are a plus.
