About ShipIn
ShipIn Systems is redefining how the maritime industry understands, manages, and reduces operational risk. Our AI-powered visual fleet intelligence platform connects onboard video with shore-based teams, turning everyday vessel operations into actionable insight that helps prevent incidents before they escalate.
We work with many of the world’s leading shipowners and operators to bring greater visibility, accountability, and learning into daily operations at sea. The result is safer crews, stronger performance, and smarter decision-making across global fleets.

About The Role
As a Product Manager at ShipIn, you’ll take our Cargo Module to the next level as it expands from bulk carriers into the tanker and container segments. You’ll turn product direction into delivered product: writing clear PRDs, working hand in hand with design and R&D, and validating solutions directly with customers and on board vessels.
You’ll work closely with the Cargo product lead and contribute to how each segment’s strategy evolves, while owning execution end to end.
The ideal candidate is a structured, hands-on PM with strong ownership, someone who gets things shipped and is comfortable in the field, at ports, and on board vessels.
This role plays a key part in scaling one of ShipIn’s fastest-growing product lines across the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day Product Manager of one of our core teams, owning its roadmap execution, backlog, and delivery from defined direction to shipped product.
- Own the inbound flow from customers, customer success, sales, and operations: triage requests, assess value and effort, and turn approved items into squad work.
- Translate vision and discovery insights into clear PRDs, user flows, and acceptance criteria that engineering and design can execute with confidence.
- Partner closely with design and R&D through the full delivery cycle, owning prioritization, release planning, and trade-off decisions across the squad’s streams.
- Validate solutions with customers and design partners, turning feedback into product iterations.
- Contribute to the squad’s discovery and strategy alongside the Shore product lead, bringing delivery and customer insights that shape the roadmap.
- Establish and track success metrics for each release (adoption, usage, customer ROI), and continuously iterate based on results.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of product management experience on multidisciplinary B2B products that combine hardware and SaaS.
- Proven track record of taking products from direction to delivery, owning PRDs, prioritization, and release cycles with engineering and design.
- Experience managing inbound requests and a backlog across multiple parallel streams.
- Hands-on experience validating solutions directly with customers and in the field.
- Experience with computer vision, IoT, or sensor-based products is a strong advantage.
- Background in maritime, logistics, or industrial operations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with platform topics such as data privacy (GDPR), integrations, or AI-powered features is an advantage.
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to build credibility with engineering teams.
- Data-driven, with experience using product analytics and KPIs to guide decisions.
- Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day product work.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or related); product management training or certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, strong ownership, and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel, including vessel and port visits.
