About the Role
The Insurance Administration Assistant is a critical support role requiring exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and self-directed initiative. Working as an integral member of the Customer Support team, this position serves as a key liaison with Product Management, while managing multiple concurrent priorities and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced insurance environment.
Core Competencies
We're looking for a highly organized self-starter who can:
- Independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder requests
- Exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive customer information and complex situations
- Take initiative to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive tasks to completion
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs
- Make informed decisions that balance operational efficiency with compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Administration:
- Prepare and process policy documentation, including endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
- Maintain accurate customer, agency, and insurance records within our internal systems
- Collaborate daily with Customer Support team members for sharing of information and addressing (internal and external) stakeholder queries and issues, all with a view of ensuring consistent service delivery
- Support invoicing, billing, underwriting, tax filings, and payment tracking
Business Analysis & Process Management:
- Coordinate between Product Management and Customer Support teams to identify business requirements related to bugs, issues, and new features
- Work with Product Management in the development, review, and implementation of features for the automation of manual support activities.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business, administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of administrative experience in insurance or financial services
- Proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter with minimal supervision
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in ambiguous situations
- Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, or process documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with databases, document management systems, and MS Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with insurance companies, brokerages, or managing general agencies
- Knowledge of insurance terminology, processes, and general liability insurance

Compensation:
The expected salary range for this full-time position is $50,000–$60,000 per year. The final offer within this range will be based on job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
