Overview of Role
ZwitterCo is seeking an experienced, energetic Maintenance Technician who wants to contribute to our Operations Team as we continue to grow and scale. In this role, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical expertise for various unit operations at the site.
Candidates with experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical or otherwise), the ability to lead improvement projects, and the ability to perform root cause failure analysis are particularly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:
The Maintenance Technician will provide day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting expertise for many of the unit operations at the site, take ownership of equipment problems, identify, and implement improvements. Lead projects that provide permanent solutions and long-term improvement.
- Assist Operations with day-to-day troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
- Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program
- Identify and lead improvement projects to increase process capacity and reliability, improve product quality, increase yields, and reduce manufacturing costs
- Provide technical expertise for the manufacturing equipment and processes at the site
- Lead implementation of continuous improvement projects for the site
- Provide basic data for improvement projects and provide support (e.g. installation, commissioning, start-up, training)
- Develop and ensure adherence to maintenance procedures, best practices, and safety protocols
- Accountable for complying with all EH&S regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Leadership and participation in all safety-related programs, and an active champion in driving excellence in the site’s safety performance
- Provide off-shift support for continuous operations
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing (chemical or other) oriented environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Additional desired qualifications:
- Experience using data to drive improvements in OEE, capacity release, cycle time, productivity, material efficiencies, cost, and quality
- Knowledge or background using CAD, 3D printing, and machining
- Understanding of process control systems, including batching and PLC systems
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge and RCI to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve, or assist others to solve equipment and/or process issues
Demonstrated abilities:
- Self-initiative, a motivated self-starter who can work independently
- Data-driven decision making; root cause failure analysis
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and a high-volume workload with shifting and competing responsibilities
- Demonstrated strong teamwork and networking skills
Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location
This role is a full-time position in Woburn, MA and will report directly to the Maintenance & Facilities Leader.
Travel for this role is expected to be between 0% - 5%.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include equity and benefits.
